Phoebe Yu supports our Christchurch-based QS team with a variety of work from concept to detailed cost planning, bank finance reporting, lease reinstatement and long term maintenance planning.

Phoebe’s passion for working in the property and construction sector led her to begin her career with a role in commercial and residential interior design and project management. As part of the design team in a property and development company, she specialised in interior design management, ensuring the seamless execution of projects on time and budget, while meeting specified aesthetic standards.

She subsequently gained a qualification in Quantity Surveying and transitioned to a hands-on QS role with a residential construction company. There she gained valuable QS experience in estimating, tendering, variations and purchase orders, working across a range of residential projects from standalone houses and high value residences to multi-unit developments.

Being involved in the entire lifecycle of construction projects has given Phoebe a solid grounding in the processes involved, and she is well versed in local construction practices as a result. Phoebe pays meticulous attention to detail, and is proficient at interpreting technical documents, as well as engaging with project processes and personnel on site.

Outside of work, Phoebe enjoys spending time with her family and loves exploring new places together with her beloved dog. In the summer she enjoys a refreshing swim while in winter she craves the thrill of the slopes and the excitement of snowboarding.
