Each year we come together to celebrate our outstanding people at our Staff Awards ceremony. In what was undoubtedly a challenging year to be in business, several of our staff went above and beyond in 2024, and we gratefully acknowledged their efforts with the following awards:
Outstanding Support Award
Linda Williams, Receptionist & Marketing Support
The Outstanding Support Award is given for demonstrating excellence in your position and going above and beyond.
This year we had a recipient who clearly stood out from the crowd. Nothing is too much trouble for Linda – she is proactive and always looking for a solution to any problem. Kind and supportive, she always wears a smile and exuberates positivity. She makes a great first impression with visitors to our office and on the phone. More than happy to assist where needed, Linda has worked across a number of departments this year, always with a willingness to get involved and help wherever she can.
Rising Star Award
Brad Rankin, Architectural Graduate – Respond Architects
The Rising Star Award is given to the person or persons who show outstanding promise and talent in their field.
Most people would find it hard to believe Brad only has a couple of years’ experience. He is confident and knowledgeable on site, and easily forms great relationships with project and construction teams. He has proven himself to be a valuable team member who is focussed on continuing to learn and grow his career, while adding value to his team and clients. He has consistently stepped up to tackle any new challenge, and does so with a level of confidence and understanding beyond his years, as well as a smile and a positive attitude.
Rising Star Award
Rosie Edginton, Registered Valuer
The Rising Star Award is given to the person or persons who show outstanding promise and talent in their field.
Rosie has been a great contributor to our Valuations team. A very fast learner, she is now undertaking a wide range of work and has developed excellent technical skills – not to mention outstanding IT skills with a willingness to take on new systems as required. She is trusted and has become one of the go-to people to undertake complex residential project work. A talented team member who likes to contribute in a positive way and is always happy and smiling.
Peers Award
Ahseng Chew, Structural Engineer
The Peers Award recognises a team member who has shown commitment to their peers.
Ahseng has only been with us for 18 months, but during that time he has contributed enormously to our Structural Engineering department. He carries his heavy workload with a smile and a professional attitude, and always delivers. What’s more he is always happy to stop and help with any query. He works well with the other departments and he is pretty funny too – a real asset to our company.
Founders Award
Imogen Iversen, Project Coordinator and Office Supervisor
The Founders Award is nominated by the Directors for a staff member’s special efforts in going above and beyond the expectations of their role, putting the company in a better place.
A very worthy candidate for this award, Imogen has been with Prendos since 2010. Over the years she has seen enormous change and improvement in our systems, which she has often been at the heart of. She is a systems extraordinaire, and one of only a few people who get pleasure from reading the Idiots Guide to Programming – and actually understands it! She manages her team with open and frequent communication and makes everyone feel an essential part of the team. There are few people in Prendos that our Directors would trust and rely upon to get the job done more than Imogen. Her work behind the scenes and her ability to solve problems is much appreciated.
Founders Award
Guy Dobson, Associate, Chartered and Registered Building Surveyor
The Founders Award is nominated by the Directors for a staff member’s special efforts in going above and beyond the expectations of their role, putting the company in a better place.
Guy has been a key part of our Bay of Plenty team for the past two years, and also for five years prior to that from 2010 to 2015. When he returned to Prendos it was obvious his knowledge base had grown significantly, and he freely shares this knowledge for the benefit of the company and his clients. His technical expertise, attention to detail and can-do attitude are complemented by his perseverance in ensuring all of his projects are completed on time, aiming to exceed his clients’ expectations as a baseline. He is a great role model for the new generation of Building Surveyors and likely to many others too.
Congratulations and a huge ‘thank you’ to all of our 2024 Staff Awards recipients for your outstanding contributions to the company.
