Based in our Christchurch office, Peter has acted as Quantity Surveyor on many large commercial building earthquake claims. He has experience in producing detailed remediation/rebuild estimates and assisting with claim settlement negotiations, as well as providing project cost control services where repair works take place. Peter also has experience with fire and flood-related material damage insurance claims.

Peter’s Professional Quantity Surveying (PQS) experience extends to transactional work preparing CAPEX/OPEX estimates on due diligence instructions, QS estimates for lease reinstatement and maintenance plans, and repair and rebuild estimates for remediation and new build projects. He also provides expert witness support on legal claims, including defective construction and insurance claims.

He works with high-end residential clients to provide independent initial and progress certifications for bank funding, and is able to offer full cost control services, particularly for large residential dwellings.

Peter is an advocate for sustainability in the construction industry and in the workplace. His close attention to detail, accuracy and collaborative approach makes him a highly sought-after QS.
