Based in our Christchurch office, Peter specialises in all stages of cost planning and contract administration. He has extensive experience preparing schedules of quantities per ANZSMM standards and elemental cost estimates, working closely with architects and consultants to resolve design discrepancies, optimise project outcomes and align costs with client expectations.

Peter manages the full tendering process, drafts contract documentation, and oversees post-tender negotiations. His expertise extends to producing detailed remediation/rebuild estimates for insurance and legal purposes, as well as transactional work preparing CAPEX/OPEX estimates on due diligence instructions, QS estimates for lease reinstatement and maintenance plans. He also provides expert witness support on legal claims, including defective construction and insurance claims.

In the high-end residential sector, Peter works closely with clients to provide independent initial and progress certifications for bank funding. He also offers comprehensive cost control services, particularly for large residential dwellings.

With a strong focus on risk management and sustainability, Peter ensures accurate cost control from project inception to completion. His close attention to detail, accuracy and collaborative approach makes him a highly sought-after QS.
