With over 10 years’ experience in residential planning and design, Joseph has shown his passion for the industry with a portfolio of interesting work.
His experience includes producing and designing within the constraints of many UK application types including planning and permitted development applications, conservation area and listed building applications and building regulation applications. Since his arrival in New Zealand in March 2016 he has built on this experience to include NZ regulations and application types while working as design lead on a new build school in south Auckland, among a selection of other projects and is currently working towards his NZ registration.
He is capable of producing detailed working drawings and construction documents utilising 3D and 2D drawing techniques, from survey to working information stage.
Originally from North Yorkshire, he spent much of his time working in London before recently making the move to New Zealand. His previous work has revolved around residential houses and flats, offices, public and commercial premises both in the UK and abroad, working on projects to the value of £12 million.
To date, Joseph is most proud of his involvement in designing a culinary school within a grade two walled garden in Northern England, including the design of an heirloom kitchen garden and orchard to the south, complimented by a lightweight folded canopy roof sailing over the listed garden walls.
