John brings 15 years of cumulative experience in the UK and New Zealand construction industry to his role. As a Registered Building Surveyor he carries out building inspections and invasive testing, long term maintenance planning, technical due diligence surveys and administers construction contracts on commercial, residential and educational properties. John also provides expert witness support for legal claims in mediation and the high court.
John developed a broad knowledge of construction that has evolved from modern apprentice, and later carpentry business, to studies during his building surveying degree. Since graduating, all his post graduate studies and experience have been based here in New Zealand.
He is a registered member of the New Zealand Institute of Building Surveyors and also a Transitional Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS). John is en route to completing his APC to also become a Chartered Building Surveyor (MRICS) during 2017. He is also a certified Asbestos Surveyor holding the IP402 Asbestos Surveying and Sampling strategies for asbestos.
