Originally from South Africa, Hendrik is a Structural Technician/Draftsperson based in our Auckland office. In his role, he works on engineering drawings and details for the wider Structural Engineering Department, and is an essential line of communication between our office and the site of any job.
Hendrik studied Civil Engineering at Tshwane University of Technology in South Africa, and completed his B-Tech Degree in 2010, specialising in structures. With 12 years’ experience in the industry, he is passionate about seeing a project develop on site, and produces high quality structural engineering drawings, using Revit and AutoCAD.
Hendrik has worked on numerous large scale projects in South Africa as Structural Technician/Draftsperson. These include the 45,000m² Kazerne-Johannesburg International Transport Interchange; a 16 storey, 40,000m² office tower; and the GCIS Offices in Hatfield, Pretoria – consisting of 18,000m² of office space and 2,700m² of basement parking over 10 levels.
