As part of our Structural Engineering team, Hakshay works on the structural design of building alterations, the seismic assessments of existing buildings, and the design of new buildings – from residential to low-rise commercial and school buildings.
Fascinated with the built environment from an early age, Hakshay decided to combine this with his interest in maths and physics, and his love of problem solving, to pursue a career in structural engineering.
Since then, he has worked on a number of large projects across the Auckland region, gaining both structural engineering and site management experience. He was the lead structural engineer for the new Countdown supermarket in Pokeno, where he worked on the building design and seismic bracing design of internal building components. He was also involved in the structural design of a new housing development in Mt Albert, comprising three 3-storey apartment blocks with concrete shear walls and timber truss roofs. Hakshay has also been involved in numerous seismic design projects for secondary structures – from small fitouts to new multi-storey buildings, including the University of Auckland’s Engineering Building.
With a strong commitment to delivering practical designs and a drive to continually finding better solutions to difficult engineering challenges, Hakshay consistently delivers high-quality solutions to clients of all sizes and sectors.
